माझा मराठीची बोलू कौतुके

आज 27 फेब्रुवारी, मराठी भाषा दिवस. सकाळी माझ्या पत्नीने त्या निमित्त तिने शाळेत असताना अभ्यास केलेली ज्ञानेश्वरी मधील ही ओवी अणि त्याचा अर्थ सांगितला अणि तिचे कौतुक वाटले. मराठी भाषे विषयी नुकताच एक सुंदर लेख वाचनात आला. माझा मराठीची बोलू कौतुके। परि अमृतातेहि पैजासी जिंके। ऐसी अक्षरे रसिके। मेळवीन।। या संत ज्ञानेश्वरांनी लिहलेल्या चरणाचा अर्थ काय आहे? संपूर्ण देशात जसा महाराष्ट्र आणि महाराष्ट्राची संस्कृती प्रेरणादायी आहे तशी मराठी भाषा देखील. संत ज्ञानेश्‍वर म्हणतात, माझा मराठीची बोलू कौतुके। परि अमृतातेहि पैजासी जिंके। ऐसी अक्षरे रसिके। मेळवीन ।। ज्ञाने. ६/१४ असे म्हणत त्यांनी मराठी भाषेविषयीचा अभिमान, मराठीची महती व्यक्त केली आहे.अमृतालाही पैजेनी जिंकणारी अक्षरे, अशी अमृतवाणी ज्ञानदेवांच्या प्रत्येक शब्दाशब्दातून व्यक्त झाली आणि ब्रह्मविद्याच शब्दरूप झाली. ज्ञानेश्वरीत कर्म आहे; पण कर्माची कटकट नाही. ज्ञान आहे; पण ज्ञानाचा रुक्षपणा नाही. भक्ती आहे; पण ती भोळ्या अज्ञानाची नाही. माझा मराठी चा बोल कौतुके।परि अमृताते हि पैजा जिंके।ऐसी अक्षरे रसिके।मेळवीन।।१४।।ज्ञानेश्वरी अध्याय सहावा. ...

दक्षिणमुखी नंदी तीर्थ मंदिर

बेंगलोरमधील शहराच्या मध्यवर्ती ठिकाणी - मल्लेश्वरम - येथील हे प्राचीन मंदिर. या मंदिरात नंदीचे मुख हे दक्षिण दिशेला असल्याने दक्षिणमुखी नंदी तीर्थ असे नाव देण्यात आले. या मंदिराचा इतिहास हा रोमांचकारी आहे. शहराच्या मध्यवर्ती भागात हे मंदिर जीथे आहे तो प्लाॅट १९९७ पर्यंत खाली होता. जमीनीवर काही झुडपे वाढली होती. १९९७ साली काही बांधकाम करण्याच्या उद्देशाने साफसफाई करत असताना प्रथम नंदीची शिंगे दृष्टीस पडली. त्यानंतर हळूहळू बाजूने खोदले असता पूर्ण नंदीची मूर्ती मिळाली. या नंदीच्या मूर्तीची साफसफाई करताना एक अद्भुत गोष्ट घडली. नंदीच्या अंगावरील सर्व माती साफ केली आणि तोंडात जमलेली माती काढली असता नंदीच्या तोंडातून पाण्याची धार वाहू लागली. हा चमत्कार पाहून लोकांनी पुरातत्व खात्याला कळविले. पुरातत्व विभागातील तज्ञांनी भेट देऊन हळूवारपणे उत्खननास सुरुवात केली. नंदीच्या मुखातून सतत पाणी येतच होते. ज्यावेळी पूर्ण उत्खनन झाले त्यावेळी हे मंदिर उजेडात आले. या मंदिराची रचना ही पूर्णपणे वेगळी आहे. नंदी वरती असून शंकराची पिंड खाली आहे. नंदीच्या मुखातून जे पाण...

On Friday, the banking regulators in the US shut down the "financial partner of the innovation economy", as the Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) called itself after it suffered a swift collapse.
